A number of Members of Parlaiment representing Scottish constituencies have been the youngest MPs in the Westminster Parliament. These include ex-Shadow Secretary of State for Scotland, Sir Teddy Taylor, who now represents an English constituency; Charles Kennedy the leader of the Liberal Democrats; and the first Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, Lord Steel of Aikwood.
