 | 'Brown is more in the line of Clement Attlee, Labour's post-second world war prime minister, of whom it was said that "a car pulled up outside Number 10 and nobody got out". Brown would no doubt point out that Attlee was responsible for creating the NHS, the education system and social housing. It was a towering achievement.
