How to Join Scottish Politics on the Web

Site Requirements

In order to join Scottish Politics on the Web all you need is a web site concerning any aspect of Scottish politics

If you feel your web page is suitable for admission to this ring follow the instructions below :

How To Apply

Just follow these five simple steps

  1. Fill out the form below and make sure all information is correct.
NB The webring code does not have to be added to your home page - you may for example, have a separate page for your rings. In this case please use the URL where you intend to add the webring. This is because the verification software will check for the ring code at the URL which you have specified.

  2. Download the Scottish Politics on the Web logo "scotpol.gif" (the animated map) and transfer it to your web site

  3. Within an hour or so, you should receive an e.mail confirming that your site has been submitted. If you do not receive the mail, you can do one of two things:
    1. Blame the Labour government - after all, everybody else does ;-) or
    2. Contact the ringmaster at ringmaster@alba.org.uk.
This e.mail should contain your personalised HTML code. (We are now sending out a non-javascript version of the code as some people experienced problems with the Javascript version. If you prefer to use the original, it can be found here here.)

    Everything between

<!--START OF SCOTTISH POLITICS ON THE WEB HTML FRAGMENT--> and <!--END OF SCOTTISH POLITICS ON THE WEB HTML FRAGMENT--> should be pasted into your page.
The email will also include your password and a site ID number which you will need if you wish to modify your details (see below) in the future. Don't lose it!

  4. Once you have added the code please mail the ringmaster ringmaster@alba.org.uk to let us know that all is in place.

  5. Wait for your site to be checked and added to the ring.

    Ceud mìle fàilte!
