'On March 1 North East Fife Lib Dem MSP Iain Smith told the Scottish Parliament, "The Tay bridge affects my constituents more directly. We pay about £2 million a year in tolls on the Tay bridge for a bridge that cost less than £5 million to build nearly 40 years ago. I think that the case has now been made for those tolls to be removed." Yesterday he voted to keep the tolls on the Tay.' The Courier, 31 st March 2006.
