'Jackson has been handed a reprieve but warned if he returns to the courts in future, he faces automatic deselection. However, there remains bad blood within the party over the case. One senior Labour source claimed last night that Jackson had threatened to resign immediately - thereby triggering a by-election - if the party chiefs had deselected him for next year's Holyrood vote.'
