| Chris Ballance was born on the 7 th July 1952 in Worcester in England. He was educated at Alderman Newton Boy's School, in Leicester, Reigate Grammar School in Surrey, and St Andrew's University. He worked as a Manager for Mental health charity in Glasgow, as a part-time Teacher in creative writing at Crichton Campus of Glasgow University, and as a self-employed writer, playwright and bookshop owner. Chris speaks for the party on nuclear, peace, arts, culture and tourism, is parliamentary Business manager and sits on the Parliament's Procedures Committee. In Parliament he has introduced a Green Transport Bill and convenes a range of cross party groups. As convener of the group on Tibet he recently hosted a trip by the Dalai Lama to Scotland. He has also been involved in range of local campaigns including on nuclear power stations in the region. He lives in Moffat with his wife and baby son and is an Executive Member of the WritersÕ Guild of Great Britain, and a member of the Scottish Society of Playwrights and Equity. | Abbie is former chair and head of postgraduate studies at the Centre for Human Ecology and
adviser to the Westminster cross-party group on alternative energy strategies. With long experience in environmental policy, she launched the Lothian Energy Group and has been leading the local campaign on Forth oil ship-to-ship transfers. A member of the East Lothian Children's Panel for 8 years, and chairs her local Community Body (for stewardship under the new Land Reform legislation). She is a member of the Borders Forest Trust, a founder of Carrifran Wildwood and Board member of Friends of the Earth Scotland. A mother of two, Abbie has lived in East Lothian since 1981. | A former politics tutor and SNP member for almost 20 years, Donald joined the Greens three years ago. He is a published author and runs his own events company. He is involved in various campaigns for an improved railway network including being an active member of the Campaign for Borders Rail. He lives near Dunbar with his partner.
