Members - although not mine or his- every other European country, with the exception of Switzerland, I believe, has been occupied, tramped across by armies or lived under some form of communist or fascist dictatorship? John McAllion : I suspect that that has more to do with the fact that Britain is an island than with its 17th-century constitution. If the hon.
