TWO regional MSPs are set to resign - to face each other in a by-election following the death of Nationalist MSP Margaret Ewing.
Highland list Tory Mary Scanlon and North-East Nationalist MSP Peter Lochhead are both after their parties' nominations in the Moray by-election.
Ewing had said she would stand down at the next election and both Scanlon and Lochhead had already been chosen to face each other in 2007.
But now it looks like the clash will happen a year early.
