The Holyrood by-election caused by the death of SNP MSP Margaret Ewing will take place on April 27, it has been announced.
Holyrood Presiding Officer George Reid said he set that date after consulting political parties and the local returning officer in Moray.
The contest has been created by Ms Ewing's death last week at the age of 60.
