Hopefuls launch Moray campaigns

From ic Scotland, 4 th April 2006

Tory by-election hopeful Mary Scanlon has vowed to continue the "strong representation" given to the people of Moray by the late Nationalist MSP Margaret Ewing if elected to succeed her.

Ms Scanlon made the pledge as she launched her campaign for the contest, which was prompted by Mrs Ewing's death at the age of 60 last month following a long illness.

"I pledge to be an honest, approachable and hard-working local campaigner for the people of Moray," the Conservative candidate said.
