Labour has selected local councillor Sandy Keith as its candidate for the forthcoming Moray by-election.
The Scottish National Party MSP Richard Lochhead and Conservative MSP Mary Scanlon are resigning their Holyrood list seats to stand in the contest.
The Liberal Democrats have selected Councillor Linda Gorn to fight the election as their candidate.
The Holyrood by-election, caused by the death of Nationalist MSP Margaret Ewing, will take place on 27 April.
