The Scottish National Party has chosen Richard Lochhead as its candidate for the Moray by-election.
Mr Lochhead, who is an MSP on the North East list, will resign his seat to stand in the contest.
The Liberal Democrats have selected Councillor Linda Gorn to fight the seat and the Conservatives named Mary Scanlon as their candidate.
The Holyrood by-election caused by the death of Nationalist MSP Margaret Ewing will take place on 27 April.
