Lochee West (Dundee) 14 th September 1995

Labour increased their majority in their safe seat of Lochee West in Dundee on the 14 th of September. Although the Labour vote fell by 6, it was up by 10.2% on a reduced turnout. They took 73.0% of the vote, giving them a massive 748 majority over the SNP. The SNP vote was down by 1.9% while the Conservative vote fell by 5.5%. An Independent took 27 votes, while the Liberal Democrats and Communists, who took less than 80 votes between them in April, did not contest the ward this time around.
