East Lothian

Labour retained control of East Lothian Council with an overall majority of 11. The composition of East Lothian Council is now 17 Labour (+ 2), 5 Conservative & Unionists (+ 2) and 1 Scottish National Party (+1).

There were major boundary changes here with the number of wards being increased by five to 23. There were no major surprises except in the new ward of North Berwick East which was won by the SNP's David Berry.

Under PR (D'Hondt system), East Lothian Council would have no overall control with 11 Labour, 5 Scottish National Party, 4 Conservative & Unionist and 3 Liberal Democrat councillors.
