JAILED peer Mike Watson has been told to stop acting like a spoilt child if he wants to avoid trouble inside.
Ex-jailbird Lord Brocket last night warned the former Labour MSP - who is also Lord Watson of Invergowrie - to drop his airs and graces in Saughton.
Watson was jailed for 16 months on Thursday for fire-raising at a political bash at plush Edinburgh hotel after being refused bar service.
Former I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! star Brocket, 52, said jail was "a dangerous place".
He said: "Politicians and people with titles aren't always popular in prison.
"And when you have a politician like Watson who has a tantrum, you can imagine how that is going to go down with the other men"Compared with the problems some inmates have, they won't be very impressed with what he did to get himself in the nick.
"I suspect he could have a pretty difficult time unless he learns to adapt quickly.
"I would strongly advise him to drop the airs and graces and try to be a regular guy in there."
Brocket - jailed for a £4.3million Ferrari fraud conspiracy - said: "I'd advise Lord Watson to catch up on all the things that he hasn't done because he has been too busy.
"I found that I wrote an awful lot, especially letters I wished I had written but hadn't."
Watson, 56, was Glasgow Cathcart MSP until quitting after admitting fire-raising. He is also an ex-Glasgow Central MP and former Executive minister.
Abertay University in Dundee yesterday said they may strip him of the honorary law degree they awarded in 1998.
