Independent views . . .

From the Ayrshire Post

CLIF Botcherby this week underlined the twin planks of his campaign as an Independent - the retention of Section 28 and safeguarding air traffic control jobs at Prestwick if the serŠvice is privatised.

He hit out: "New Labour treats the elecŠtorate with contempt and people opposed to the repeal of Section 28 have a chance of making their views known by voting Independent.
Of the other main parties he said: "Clearly the SNP's Jim Mather is the most able candidate and while ConserŠvative John Scott is a nice and able man, the only electable Tory here would have been Phil Gallie.
"As for the Liberal Democrats. Did you see their election leaŠflet? it was schoolboy stuff"!
